How Emails work on Reckon Accounts Hosted

Question:

How do emails get sent from Reckon Accounts Hosted?  How secure are the emails?



Solution:

Emails from Reckon Accounts Hosted are safe and fully secured.  Reckon Accounts hosted uses its own email service to send Reckon Accounts users' emails to their customers. 


 


Your customers will receive an email addressed from accountshosted@reckon.com.  


When your customer replies to this email, it will go to the email address specified in your company file on the Company > Company Information screen.


 


Reckon Accounts Hosted does not store a copy of emails sent; it just forwards what's generated in a Reckon Accounts file to Reckon Accounts Hosted's Internet Service Provider.


 


Reckon Accounts Hosted will not notify your email address of emails sent from your company file. 


 


We suggest you include yourself as a CC on emails, and on your local email client create a separate folder to accept these emails.


 


To send yourself a copy of the email: 


     1) Go to Edit > Preferences > Send Forms > Company Preferences
     2) Choose the type of form in the Change Default for box
     3) Enter your email address in the BCC field
     4) Repeat for each type of form you email.


 


Reckon Accounts Hosted will not respond to emails sent to accountshosted@reckon.com
