POS Messaging system not working

I’m getting an error message, ‘POS Messaging system not working’ and unable to start POS terminal. How can I fix it?


This issue occurs on POS Terminal. It is not allowing POS Terminal to start.

Reckon POS Terminal

Solution / Workaround:

1) Restart POS Terminal PC and try again.

If the problem persists, please continue.

2) Go to the local installation directory for the POS terminal.

For Eg, POS 2018 installation directory will be

C:\Reckon\Point of Sale Professional 2018 terminal>

Or C:\Reckon\Point of Sale lite 2018 terminal>

3) Locate the below 3 files and double click on it to run.




4) Try opening the terminal again.
