Reckon Accounts Personal Range crashes when backing up

Question:

Why does Reckon Accounts Personal crash with the message:  “Reckon Accounts has encountered a problem and needs to close.  Error Code 7058” when I create a backup?





Solution:

Save your backup to your Desktop and then Copy/Paste to your external storage..

 

Issue

This problem will occur when you do not save your backup to your PC’s hard drive, or your UserID does not have full permissions to operate in this directory.

 

Workaround

Save the backup to your Desktop and then use the windows Copy/Paste commands to transfer it to your external storage.

If the backup still does not save then move the datafile to a Public directory like C:\Users\Public\Public Documents; or to the sample directory:  c:\ProgramData\Intuit\Quicken\Sample\
