An internal error occurred when preparing your message when batch emailing from Accounts Business 20

Question:

Why do I get the error: “An internal error occurred when preparing your message. It has not been sent (MAPI error code 00000000 (0) at line 947 in sendemail.ccp.)” when sending an email from Accounts Business 2014 through Outlook 2013?



Solution:

Open Outlook 2013 and then batch email again. 


 


The Issue


Outlook 2013 is a 64bit system which does not handle MAPI requests seamlessly.  The error occurs when your Outlook is not open.  The signal from Accounts Business 2014 is not interpreted properly, Outlook 2013 is not launched and this error is generated. 


If Outlook is open when you email from Accounts Business 2014 you will not encounter this error.


 


Workaround:


Open Outlook 2013 before batch emailing from Accounts Business 2014.
