Why does G-Mail block emails sent from Reckon Accounts Business 2016? I get an error: “Password Incorrect”.
Emailing through a web-based email service is a new feature in Reckon Accounts Business 2016. For basic configuration please see the In-Product help Index.
Google security will block sign-in attempts from some apps or devices that do not use modern security standards, as these apps and devices are easier to break into. You may get the error: “Password Incorrect”.
You will need to allow less secure apps and devices to use the G-mail system.
Log in to your Gmail Account;
Click the Account picture or avatar at the top right - then click Google account;
Go to Sign in & Security.
Scroll down to Apps with Accounts access.
Scroll down till you see Allow less secure apps
Select Allow less secure Apps: On
Note: If you have 2 steps verification settings enabled, on your Google account, this option is not available.
